This year's Dubai Fitness Challenge is almost at an end, but that doesn't mean that you have to stop keeping active.
This month you have been running, jumping, swimming, pushing, pulling and dancing your way to a fitter, more healthier you with just 30 minutes of exercise a day.
We hope that by now you are well into your exercise routine and have already found numerous benefits to your lifestyle change. Perhaps you are sleeping better? Maybe you are less stressed at work? Or that you are starting to notice your favourite pair of jeans become a little bit looser?
To you our message is simple: KEEP GOING!
One of the very best ways to help you stay consistent and motivated is to break everything down into smaller, manageable chunks just like you have done with this year's Dubai Fitness Challenge. It's always worth remembering that no matter how advanced you become with your exercise habits.
Going forward then, here's our tips to help make sure that you keep riding that wave of positivity:
Stay consistent for the remainder of the year
Of course allow yourself some time off over the Christmas break, but try your best to stay active right up until the final day of 2018. Remember, 30 minutes is all you need to have a fun and challenging workout.
Start 2019 as you mean to go on
Once you have seen in the New Year with style, take a moment and write down your health and fitness goals for the entire year. Not just where you want to be at the end of it, but where you want to be by June and even by March. Write it all out and stick it on your fridge so that you see it each morning and evening.
Do it with a friend
There's no doubt that some of your friends will be feeling inspired by your achievements and are probably just waiting for an invite from you to join forces. So what are you waiting for? Invite them along to your next workout. Or if you'd prefer to stay solo for a little bit longer then wait until the New Year when everyone is more inclined to exercise. Even exercising once a week with a friend can provide you both with some friendly competition to keep going.
Take up Group Exercise
Whether it's Boxing, Pilates, Body Pump or Indoor Cycling, Group Exercise provides a number of options that will keep you entertained and challenged. Having an instructor tell you exactly what to do means it's another less thing for you to worry about. Just turn up, get a sweat on and go home. Simple! We would recommend trying a few different classes to see what suits you best and then picking just one or two to continue on with. To view TribeFit's packed monthly timetable click here.
Reward yourself
All this exercise deserves some rewards, but try and be as self disciplined with it as you can. One day at the gym does not mean you can have a doughnut, but attending the gym 3 days in a row does. Be sensible with your rewards and try not to give in at the first sign of cravings. Instead work hard and earn them. They will taste so much sweeter when you do.
We hope you have enjoyed this year's Dubai Fitness Challenge as much as we have. Don't forget to visit the special closing ceremony at the Fitness Village in JLT Park this Saturday 24th November.
